Ingredients:
- 200 g butter
- 200 g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 200 g all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder (optional)
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 250 g mascarpone cheese
- 200 g heavy cream
- 100 g berries or fruits for decoration
- Chocolate sauce (for decoration)
Instructions:
1. Cream together the butter and sugar in a bowl until light and fluffy.
2. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
3. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, and vanilla sugar. Gradually add this dry mixture to the butter mixture and mix until smooth.
4. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan and bake at 175°C (350°F) for about 30-40 minutes or until the cake is cooked through.
5. Allow the cake to cool completely before removing it from the pan.
6. Whip the heavy cream and fold it into the mascarpone cheese. Spread this mixture over the cooled cake.
7. Decorate the cake with berries and drizzle chocolate sauce on top.
8. Cut the cake into desired sizes and serve.
