This delicious chocolate cake is perfect for celebrations or coffee gatherings. Its flavor improves as it ages, making it even better the next day. Preparation Time: 1 hour + resting
Serving Size: about 12-15 servings
Ingredients:
- 5 dl all-purpose flour - 4 dl sugar
- 1 dl dark cocoa powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 1-2 tsp cardamom
- 2 eggs
- 2 ½ dl coffee cream
- 125 g butter
Instructions:
1. In a large bowl, mix all the dry ingredients (flour, sugar, cocoa powder, salt, baking soda, vanilla sugar, and cardamom).2. Add in the eggs and coffee cream to the dry mixture. Stir gently.
3. Incorporate the melted and cooled butter into the batter, folding the ingredients together carefully to avoid overmixing.
4. Pour the batter into a floured baking pan (you can also grease the pan and sprinkle almond flakes around it).
5. Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C for about 1 hour.
6. Allow the cake to rest before serving. The flavor improves as it ages, and it's best served cold.
