Ingredients:
- 300 g pasta (e.g., penne or fusilli)
- 200 ml cream
- 100 ml basil pesto
- 100 g grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta in salted water according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta, reserving a little cooking water.
2. Heat a pan over medium heat and add the crushed garlic. Sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
3. Pour the cream into the pan and heat, stirring until it starts to bubble.
4. Add the pesto and mix well. If the sauce is too thick, you can add a little reserved pasta water.
5. Toss the cooked pasta into the sauce and add the grated Parmesan cheese. Stir until the pasta is well coated with the sauce.
6. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
7. Serve immediately with fresh basil on top, if desired.
