Delicious and crispy, French fries are the perfect side dish to accompany burgers or other main courses. Preparation Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:
- 4 medium-sized potatoes - 2 tablespoons oil (e.g., olive oil or canola oil)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
Instructions:
1. Peel the potatoes and cut them into long strips. 2. Rinse the potato strips in cold water and dry them thoroughly with a kitchen towel.
3. Place the potatoes in a bowl and add the oil, salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Mix well to ensure the spices are evenly distributed.
4. Spread the potatoes evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
5. Bake in a preheated oven at 220°C (428°F) for about 20-25 minutes, until the fries are golden and crispy. Turn them halfway through the cooking time.
6. Remove from the oven and serve warm.
