Ingredients:
- 4 large potatoes
- 1 liter of water
- 2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp paprika (optional)
- 3 tbsp oil (such as sunflower or olive oil)

Instructions:
1. Peel the potatoes and cut them into long sticks about 1 cm thick.
2. Boil the potato sticks in salted water for about 5-7 minutes, until they are slightly softened but not fully cooked.
3. Drain the potatoes and let them cool for a moment.
4. Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
5. Add the potato sticks to the pan and fry for about 10-15 minutes, turning frequently, until they are golden brown and crispy.
6. Season the fried potatoes with black pepper and paprika.
7. Serve hot with ketchup or mayonnaise.
