Indulge in this delicious and visually appealing dish where chicken breast is filled with creamy Brie cheese and savory prosciutto. Perfect for a dinner that impresses!
Ingredients:
- 1 boneless chicken breast
- 1 piece of Brie cheese (about the size of a fingertip)
- 3 slices of prosciutto
- Fresh thyme
- Black pepper (to taste)
- Truffle salt (or truffle oil, to taste)
Instructions:
1. Cut a suitable piece of Brie cheese and place it in the freezer to firm up.
2. Carefully slice the chicken breast in half, leaving the halves connected. Open it like a book.
3. Gently flatten the chicken breast with a meat mallet between two pieces of plastic wrap to avoid tearing.
4. Take a piece of plastic wrap about half a meter long and fold it in half.
5. Lay the prosciutto slices overlapping in the center of the plastic wrap.
6. Place the flattened chicken breast on top of the prosciutto slices.
7. Season the chicken with fresh thyme, black pepper, and truffle salt.
8. Remove the Brie from the freezer and place it in the center of the chicken.
9. Roll the chicken tightly inside the prosciutto using the plastic wrap and secure the ends carefully.
10. Place the wrapped ballotine in a pot, pour boiling water over it, and cook for 12-15 minutes.
11. Allow the ballotine to rest in its wrap for about 10 minutes before removing the plastic wrap and slicing.
12. Serve with asparagus and truffle salt mashed potatoes.
