Ingredients:
- 300 g pasta (e.g., penne or fusilli)
- 200 g fresh basil
- 50 g pine nuts
- 100 g Parmesan cheese (grated)
- 2-3 garlic cloves
- 150 ml olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta in salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta, reserving a bit of the cooking water.
2. While the pasta is cooking, prepare the pesto: place basil, pine nuts, Parmesan cheese, and garlic cloves in a blender.
3. Blend the ingredients while gradually adding olive oil until you achieve a smooth consistency.
4. If the pesto is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water to thin it out.
5. Combine the pesto with the cooked pasta and mix thoroughly.
6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
7. Serve immediately and enjoy!
