Serving Size: 4 burgers
Ingredients:
- 500 g ground beef- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 1 large red onion
- 1 tomato
- Lettuce (e.g., iceberg lettuce)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 tbsp BBQ sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions:
1. Peel and slice the red onion and tomato.2. Shape the ground beef into four patties and season with salt and pepper.
3. Heat the olive oil in a frying pan and cook the patties over medium heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side.
4. Add a slice of cheddar cheese on top of the patties towards the end of cooking to melt nicely.
5. Lightly toast the hamburger buns in the pan.
6. Assemble the burgers: place lettuce on the bottom bun, then add the cheeseburger patty, BBQ sauce, red onion, and tomato slices, followed by the top bun.
7. Serve immediately, preferably with a cold craft beer.
