A delicious and refreshing side dish made from seasonal cucumbers, perfect for serving with grilled foods or sandwiches.

Serving Size: 4-6 servings

Ingredients:

- 500 g cucumber (preferably pickling cucumbers)
- 1 dl water
- 1 dl vinegar (such as apple cider vinegar)
- 1 dl sugar
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper (ground)
- 1 teaspoon dill (dried or fresh)
- 2-3 cloves garlic (sliced)

Instructions:

1. Rinse the cucumbers and slice them into your desired thickness.
2. Place the cucumbers in a deep bowl or jar.
3. Prepare the marinade by mixing water, vinegar, sugar, salt, black pepper, and dill in a saucepan. Heat the mixture until the sugar and salt dissolve.
4. Add the sliced garlic to the marinade and pour the hot mixture over the cucumbers.
5. Cover the bowl or jar with a lid and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2-3 hours, preferably overnight.
6. Serve cold as a side dish or snack.
