Serving Size: About 30 cookies
Ingredients:
- 200 g butter - 1 dl sugar
- 1 dl syrup
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp ginger
- 1 tbsp cloves
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 6 dl all-purpose flour
Instructions:
1. Melt the butter in a saucepan and add the sugar, syrup, and spices. Heat the mixture over low heat until the sugar has dissolved. 2. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and let it cool slightly. Add the baking soda and salt.
3. Gradually incorporate the flour into the dough and knead until smooth.
4. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
5. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F).
6. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 5 mm thick and cut out your desired shapes.
7. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in the oven for about 8–10 minutes.
8. Allow the cookies to cool before packaging them into a gift pouch.
