Ingredients:
- 300 g pasta (e.g., fusilli or penne)
- 200 ml cream
- 100 ml pesto (store-bought or homemade)
- 100 ml grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in salted water until al dente. Drain and reserve a little cooking water.
2. In a pan, heat the cream and add the crushed garlic. Cook over low heat for about 2-3 minutes.
3. Add the pesto to the cream mixture and stir well. Allow it to simmer for a few minutes.
4. Add the cooked pasta to the pan and mix until the pasta is fully coated in the sauce. If needed, add a little reserved cooking water to achieve a creamy consistency.
5. Season with salt and pepper. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until well combined.
6. Serve immediately and garnish with fresh basil if desired.
