A delicious recipe that combines sweet apples with a nutty filling, baked to perfection. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or sauce. Preparation Time: 60 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 4 apples
- 200 g marzipan
- 100 g sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 50 g butter
- 100 g raisins (optional)
- 100 g nuts (optional)
- Vanilla ice cream or sauce for serving
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F). Grate the marzipan and mix it with sugar, cinnamon, melted butter, and add raisins and nuts if using.
2. Cut the tops off the apples and remove the cores using an apple corer. Fill the cavities with the marzipan mixture, pressing the remaining filling on top of the apples. Replace the tops.
3. Bake the apples in the center of the oven for about 30-40 minutes. Serve warm with soft vanilla ice cream or sauce.
