Delicious open-faced sandwiches perfect for pairing with bubbly Jansz Premium Cuvée Brut champagne. An ideal appetizer for New Year's celebrations.
Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 4-6 sandwiches
Ingredients:
- 1 Poikaluoto archipelago bread loaf or other thinly sliced rye bread
- Butter
- 400 g peeled shrimp (thawed, drained, and chopped)
- 1 dl mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp fresh dill (chopped)
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Salt and pepper to taste
- For garnish: sprigs of dill and lemon wedges
Instructions:
1. Prepare the filling by mixing the chopped shrimp, mayonnaise, dill, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
2. Lightly butter the slices of rye bread.
3. Generously spread the filling onto the bread slices.
4. Garnish with a sprig of dill and lemon wedges.
5. Serve immediately and enjoy with a sparkling drink.
