A delightful tart filled with a creamy mixture of cherries and fruits. Perfect for dessert!
Preparation Time: 50 minutes
Serving Size: 8 servings
Ingredients:
- 125 g baking margarine
- 1 dl sugar
- 1 egg
- 3 dl all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
Filling:
- 1 can (400 g) peach halves in syrup
- 1 can (400 g) apricots in syrup
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp syrup from the apricot can
- 1 pack (70 g) dried cherries
- 1 can (250 g) cottage cheese
- 1 can (2 dl) light sour cream
Instructions:
1. Melt the baking margarine and mix it with sugar in a bowl.
2. Add the egg and mix well.
3. In a separate bowl, combine the flour and baking powder, then add it to the margarine-sugar mixture. Knead until the dough is smooth.
4. Press the dough into a greased tart pan and pre-bake at 175°C (350°F) for about 10 minutes.
5. For the filling, combine the peach halves, apricots, lemon juice, syrup from the apricot can, and dried cherries in a bowl.
6. Add the cottage cheese and sour cream to the filling mixture and stir until smooth.
7. Pour the filling over the pre-baked crust and bake in the oven for an additional 30 minutes, or until the filling is set.
8. Allow to cool before serving. Enjoy with vanilla sauce if desired.
