A delicious Finnish caramel cake perfect for any occasion. Preparation Time: 45 minutes
Serving Size: 8 servings
Ingredients:
- 4 eggs
- 1 dl sugar
- 1 1/2 dl all-purpose flour
- 1/2 dl ground hazelnuts
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and flour a cake pan.
2. In a mixing bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar together until foamy.
3. In another bowl, combine the flour, ground hazelnuts, and baking powder.
4. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the egg mixture until just combined.
5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
6. Allow the cake to cool before filling or serving.
