A delicious mushroom and bacon spaghetti dish, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner. Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 400 g spaghetti
- 1 packet diced bacon
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Olive oil
- 2-3 cups chopped mushrooms
- ½ bunch fresh thyme, chopped
- ½ bunch chives, chopped
- Black pepper
- Salt
- Grated Parmesan cheese (for serving)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions in salted water.
2. In a large skillet, heat some olive oil and sauté the bacon and onion until the bacon is crispy and the onion is translucent.
3. Add the chopped mushrooms to the skillet and sauté for about 5-10 minutes until they are tender.
4. Season the mixture with salt, black pepper, thyme, and chives.
5. Drain the spaghetti and add it to the mushroom and bacon mixture. Toss everything together until well combined.
6. Allow the dish to sit on low heat for a few minutes to let the flavors meld.
7. Serve hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese.
