Delicious and crispy, French fries make the perfect side dish for any meal. This easy recipe takes just a little time to prepare.

Serving Size: 4 people

Ingredients:

- 4 medium potatoes
- 2 liters of water
- 2 tablespoons salt
- 100 ml vegetable oil (such as sunflower or olive oil)
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika (optional)
- Fresh herbs (such as parsley or thyme, for garnish)

Instructions:

1. Peel the potatoes and cut them into long strips.
2. Rinse the potato strips in cold water to remove excess starch. Drain well.
3. Boil water in a pot and add salt. Add the potato strips to the boiling water and cook for about 5-7 minutes, until slightly softened but still firm.
4. Drain the potatoes and dry them with a kitchen towel.
5. Heat the vegetable oil in a large frying pan or deep fryer over medium heat.
6. Carefully add the potato strips to the oil and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
7. Place the French fries on paper towels to drain excess oil.
8. Season with black pepper and paprika if desired.
9. Serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs.
