Description: A fun way to prepare for Christmas with delicious gingerbread cookies that bring the holiday spirit. Preparation Time: 2 hours
Serving Size: About 30 cookies
Ingredients:
- 200 g butter- 2 dl sugar
- 1 dl syrup
- 1 dl milk
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1 tsp cloves
- 1 tsp salt
- 6 dl all-purpose flour
Instructions:
1. Melt the butter in a saucepan and add sugar, syrup, and milk. Heat the mixture until the sugar dissolves.2. Remove the saucepan from heat and let it cool slightly.
3. In another bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, spices, and salt.
4. Combine the dry ingredients with the butter-sugar mixture. Knead the dough until smooth.
5. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
6. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
7. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 0.5 cm thick and cut out your desired cookie shapes.
8. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in the oven for about 8-10 minutes.
9. Allow the cookies to cool before decorating.
