A fun and delicious jelly that brings back memories of childhood school meals. Easy to prepare and sure to please everyone! Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 500 ml cola beverage - 50 g sugar
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp water
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar (optional)
Instructions:
1. Pour the cola beverage into a saucepan and add the sugar. Heat the mixture over medium heat until the sugar dissolves. 2. In a bowl, mix the cornstarch and water until smooth.
3. Gradually add the cornstarch mixture to the heating cola mixture while stirring continuously.
4. Keep stirring until the jelly starts to thicken, which will take about 5-7 minutes.
5. Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the vanilla sugar if using. Mix well.
6. Pour the jelly into serving bowls and allow to cool at room temperature. Then transfer to the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
Enjoy the cola jelly on its own or with whipped cream!
