A delicate and delicious dessert featuring crispy wafers topped with juicy liqueur-marinated fruits. Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 1 kiwi
- 2 egg whites
- 0.5 dl Limoncello liqueur
- ¼ watermelon
- 1 pear
- Powdered sugar (for garnish)
- 1 Granny Smith apple
- 1 dl sugar
- 1 Royal Gala apple
- 90 g butter
- 1.1 dl flour
Instructions:
1. Cut the kiwi, watermelon, pear, Granny Smith apple, and Royal Gala apple into cubes.
2. Place the fruit cubes in a bowl and pour the Limoncello liqueur over them. Let marinate for about 10-15 minutes.
3. Whisk the egg whites and sugar together until well combined and fluffy.
4. Melt the butter and gently fold it into the egg mixture.
5. Gradually add the flour, mixing until you have a smooth batter.
6. Preheat the waffle irons and pour the batter into them. Cook until the wafers are golden brown and crispy.
7. Place the wafers on a serving plate and top with the marinated fruits.
8. Dust powdered sugar over the top before serving.
