This easy and delicious pasta dish is perfect for a weeknight dinner. It comes together quickly and is loved by the whole family.

Serving Size: 4 people
Ingredients:
- 300 g pasta (e.g., spaghetti or penne)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 tsp chili flakes (optional)
- 400 g crushed tomatoes
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 50 g Parmesan cheese, grated
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in salted water. Drain and reserve a little cooking water.
2. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add crushed garlic and chili flakes, and sauté for about a minute.
3. Add crushed tomatoes to the pan, season with salt and black pepper. Let it simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes.
4. Stir in the cooked pasta with the sauce. If the mixture feels too dry, add a little reserved cooking water.
5. Remove the pan from heat and mix in the fresh basil.
6. Serve the portions topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
