French Fries
recipe
Delicious and crispy, French fries make an excellent side dish for burgers or any main course. This recipe is easy to make at home. Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 4
Ingredients:
- 4 medium potatoes - 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary (optional)
Instructions:
1. Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips or sticks. 2. Soak the potato strips in cold water for about 15 minutes to remove excess starch. This helps achieve crispier fries.
3. Drain the potatoes and dry them thoroughly with paper towels.
4. In a bowl, toss the potatoes with olive oil, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and rosemary until well coated.
5. Spread the seasoned potatoes evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
6. Bake the fries in a preheated oven at 200°C (fan oven) for about 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crispy, flipping them halfway through for even cooking.
7. Serve immediately while hot.
