Ruusuhillo is a delicious and unique condiment that brings summer flavors into winter. This jam recipe is easy to make and pairs perfectly with bread, yogurt, or desserts.Preparation Time: 1 hour
Serving Size: Approximately 500 ml
Ingredients:
- 200 g fresh rose petals- 300 ml water
- 400 g sugar
- Juice of 1 lime
- 1 tsp citric acid
Instructions:
1. Rinse the rose petals thoroughly in cold water and remove any stems.2. In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil and add the rose petals. Simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes, until the petals soften.
3. Add the sugar and lime juice to the saucepan. Stir well until the sugar dissolves.
4. Allow the mixture to simmer on low heat for about 30 minutes, until it begins to thicken.
5. Add the citric acid and stir. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
6. Pour the jam into clean, sterilized jars and seal tightly.
