Delicious and moist treats that bring the Christmas spirit into your kitchen without baking. A perfect alternative to gingerbread dough! Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Serving Size: About 15-20 balls
Ingredients:
- 200 g fresh dates (pitted and chopped)- 100 g mixed nuts (e.g., pecans, cashews, brown almonds)
- 1 dl rolled oats (optional)
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ginger
- 1/4 tsp cloves
- A pinch of salt
- Cocoa powder or shredded coconut (for rolling)
Instructions:
1. Remove the pits from the fresh dates and chop them into smaller pieces.2. Coarsely chop the nuts, being careful not to turn them into powder.
3. In a bowl, mix the dates, nuts, rolled oats (if using), cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and salt.
4. Shape the mixture into small balls using your hands.
5. Roll the balls in cocoa powder or shredded coconut if desired.
6. Let the balls set in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes before serving.
