A classic brunch dish featuring poached eggs, crispy bacon or ham, and rich hollandaise sauce on toasted bread. Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 2 eggs
- 2 slices of toast
- 2 slices of bacon or ham
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- Salt
- Pepper
- Hollandaise sauce (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions:
1. Boil water in a saucepan and add vinegar.
2. Carefully crack the eggs into the boiling water and poach for about 3-4 minutes until the yolk is still runny.
3. Cook the bacon or ham in a skillet until golden brown.
4. Toast the bread slices until crispy.
5. Place the toasted bread on a plate, layer with bacon or ham, and gently place the poached eggs on top.
6. Drizzle hollandaise sauce over the eggs.
7. Season with salt and pepper before serving.
