Ingredients:
- 250 g butter
- 300 g sugar
- 3 dl milk
- 1 packet dry yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 egg
- 800 g all-purpose flour
- 100 g sugar (for topping)
- 2 tbsp cinnamon (for topping)
Instructions:
1. Melt the butter in a saucepan and add the milk. Heat the mixture until lukewarm.
2. Add the dry yeast, salt, and cinnamon to the mixture. Mix well.
3. Incorporate the egg and stir until smooth.
4. Gradually add the flour and knead the dough until it is elastic and pulls away from the sides of the bowl.
5. Let the dough rise under a cloth for about 30 minutes.
6. Roll out the dough into a flat sheet and sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on top.
7. Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut it into slices about 3 cm thick.
8. Place the slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let them rise for another 15 minutes.
9. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 15-20 minutes or until beautifully golden brown.
10. Allow to cool before serving.
