Ingredients:

- 200 g butter
- 200 g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 250 g all-purpose flour
- 100 ml milk
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 200 g fresh berries (e.g., strawberries or raspberries)
- Powdered sugar for decoration

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease a round cake pan (about 24 cm in diameter).
2. In a bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
3. Add the eggs one at a time, continuing to mix well.
4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and vanilla sugar. Gradually add this dry mixture to the batter, alternating with the milk.
5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
6. Place the berries on top of the batter and gently press them down.
7. Bake in the oven for about 30-40 minutes or until the cake is cooked through (test with a toothpick).
8. Allow the cake to cool before serving. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
