Worschmack is a delicious and hearty dish that combines ground meat with dark lager. This recipe is perfect for indulging and is served with mashed potatoes and sour cream.
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 large onion
- 3 cloves garlic
- 3 anchovies
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 400 g chicken mince
- 400 g pork-beef mince
- 4 dl dark lager beer
- 2 teaspoons cumin
- 3 tablespoons honey
For the Mashed Potatoes:
- 1 kg potatoes
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 dl cream
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
1. Chop the onion and sauté it in oil in a large skillet.
2. Add the ground meats and lightly brown them, but do not cook through.
3. Stir in the tomato paste, anchovies, cumin, and honey.
4. Pour in the dark lager and mix well.
5. Preheat the oven to 150°C (300°F) and let the mixture simmer in the oven for about 3 hours. Stir occasionally and add more beer if the mixture becomes too dry.
6. Blend the mixture with an immersion blender until smooth before serving.
7. For the mashed potatoes, boil the potatoes, mash them, and mix in the butter, cream, and salt.
8. Serve the worschmack with mashed potatoes and sour cream.
