Crispy and delicious waffles made with roasted flaxseeds for a nutty flavor, perfect when served with strawberry jam and whipped cream. Preparation Time: 1 day (for dough fermentation) + 30 minutes for cooking
Serving Size: About 4-6 waffles
Ingredients:
- 100 g sourdough starter - 2 dl milk
- 2 dl sparkling water
- 3 dl all-purpose flour
- 1/2 dl roasted ground flaxseeds
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 50 g melted butter
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, mix the sourdough starter, milk, sparkling water, all-purpose flour, and roasted ground flaxseeds.2. Add sugar, salt, and melted butter to the mixture. Stir well to combine.
3. Allow the batter to ferment at room temperature for a few hours or refrigerate overnight.
4. Preheat the waffle iron and cook the batter until golden brown.
5. Serve the waffles warm with organic strawberry jam and whipped cream.
