Ingredients

- 1 kg venison roast, cut into cubes
- 2-3 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 1 dl water
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon mustard powder
- Salt to taste
- White pepper to taste
- Red currant jelly for serving

Instructions

1. Cut the venison roast into cubes.
2. Melt the butter or margarine in a large pot over medium heat.
3. Add the venison cubes and brown them on all sides.
4. Sprinkle the flour and mustard powder over the meat, mixing well.
5. Pour in the water and season with salt and white pepper.
6. Let the stew simmer on low heat with the lid on for about 1.5 hours, until the meat is tender.
7. Serve with red currant jelly.
