This delicious venison stew cooked in red wine will elevate your culinary experience. Perfect for cold evenings, enjoy it with a glass of wine.

Serving size: 4-6 servings

Ingredients:

- 800 g venison (or beef)
- 2 tbsp oil
- 2 onions, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 3 carrots, sliced
- 200 g mushrooms, sliced
- 300 ml red wine
- 400 ml beef broth
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 tbsp fresh thyme or 1 tsp dried
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions:

1. Cut the venison into cubes. Heat the oil in a large pot and brown the meat on all sides.
2. Add the chopped onions and crushed garlic to the pot. Sauté until the onions are soft.
3. Add the sliced carrots and mushrooms, and cook for a few more minutes.
4. Pour in the red wine and beef broth. Add the bay leaves and thyme.
5. Season with salt and pepper. Allow the stew to simmer on low heat with the lid on for about 1.5 hours, until the meat is tender.
6. Remove the bay leaves before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
