A classic Finnish comfort food that evokes childhood memories. This delicious sauce is quick and easy to prepare, perfect with boiled potatoes, mash, or pasta. Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 1 large onion, diced - 10 g butter
- 400 g beef minced meat
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 3 dl water
- 1 beef bouillon cube
- 3 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- 1 teaspoon salt
- A pinch of black pepper or mixed pepper
Instructions:
1. Peel and chop the onion. 2. Sauté the onion in butter in a pan.
3. Add the minced beef and brown it.
4. Sprinkle the flour over the minced meat and mix well.
5. Pour boiling water into the pan and add the beef bouillon cube. Stir until the cube has dissolved.
6. Add the seasonings (ketchup, mustard, salt, and pepper) and mix.
7. Let the sauce simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes.
