A French bread that's a perfect addition to breakfast or dinner. This recipe is easy and effortless, bringing the ambiance of a French bakery to your home.
Preparation Time: 2 hours
Serving Size: 2 baguettes
Ingredients:
- 2 dl warm water
- 25 g fresh yeast
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 5 dl all-purpose flour
- 0.5 dl olive oil
Instructions:
1. Dissolve the yeast in the warm water until completely dissolved.
2. Add salt and mix well.
3. Gradually add the flour to the mixture, stirring until a dough begins to form.
4. Pour the olive oil into the dough and knead for about 10 minutes until the dough is elastic.
5. Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.
6. Divide the dough into two parts and shape them into long baguettes.
7. Place the baguettes on parchment paper and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
8. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
9. Make slashes in the baguettes with a sharp knife and bake in the oven for about 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.
10. Allow to cool before serving.
