Delicious fried phyllo pastries filled with flavorful meat, perfect for serving at gatherings with friends and family. Preparation time is about 1 hour, and the recipe yields 8-10 pastries.
Ingredients:
- 250 g phyllo dough
- 200 g ground meat (beef or chicken)
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
- 1 dl fresh herbs (e.g., parsley or cilantro), chopped
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1 egg (for brushing)
- 1 dl oil (for frying)
Instructions:
1. Heat oil in a pan and add the chopped onion. Sauté until soft.
2. Add the crushed garlic and ground meat to the pan. Brown the meat until fully cooked.
3. Season the mixture with salt, black pepper, and paprika. Stir in the chopped herbs and mix well. Allow to cool.
4. Take the phyllo dough and cut it into squares of your desired size.
5. Take one square of dough at a time and place 1-2 tablespoons of filling in the center. Fold the dough into a triangle shape and seal the edges tightly.
6. Heat oil in a pot and deep fry the pastries until golden brown. Place the finished pastries on paper towels to drain excess oil.
7. Serve warm.
