A delicious custard-filled pastry, perfect for serving alongside coffee. Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 12 pastries
Ingredients:
- 2.5 dl cream
- 1 dl sugar
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 package puff pastry
- Cinnamon (optional)
- Powdered sugar (for decoration)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F).
2. Roll out the puff pastry and cut out circles that fit into a muffin tin. Place the pastry bases in the molds.
3. In a saucepan, mix the cream, sugar, egg yolks, vanilla sugar, and cornstarch. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens.
4. Pour the filling into the pastry bases and bake in the oven for about 15-20 minutes, until the tops are beautifully golden brown.
5. Allow to cool for a moment and transfer the pastries to a serving platter.
6. Dust with powdered sugar and, if desired, sprinkle with cinnamon before serving.
7. Serve warm with coffee.
