Colorful and delicious sprinkle donuts, perfect for birthdays or other celebrations. These donuts are easy to make and have a wonderful taste and appearance!
Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 10–12 donuts
Ingredients:
- Dough:
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons sprinkles
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 30 grams butter (+ a little for greasing)
- 1 egg
- 120 ml milk
- Glaze:
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
- Sprinkles
Instructions:
1. Bring the egg and milk to room temperature.
2. Melt the butter and let it cool slightly.
3. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
4. In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, nutmeg, sprinkles, and sugar.
5. In another bowl, beat the egg, then add the milk and slightly cooled melted butter.
6. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and mix quickly until smooth. Do not overmix.
7. Pipe the batter into a greased 12-cup donut pan, filling each cup about halfway.
8. Bake in the oven for about 8–10 minutes or until the edges of the donuts are golden yellow. Allow to cool completely on a wire rack.
9. To make the glaze, mix the milk and powdered sugar in a saucepan and heat until warm.
10. Dip the cooled donuts into the warm glaze and sprinkle with additional sprinkles. Allow to set on a wire rack or parchment paper.
11. Store at room temperature.
