Serving size: 6 servings
Ingredients:
- 500 g Jerusalem artichokes
- 1 packet ready-made pie crust
- 2 dl cream
- 3 eggs
- 100 g grated cheese (e.g., Emmental)
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh thyme or parsley for garnish
Instructions:
1. Peel the Jerusalem artichokes and slice them thinly.
2. Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic.
3. Heat a little oil in a pan and sauté the onion and garlic until soft.
4. Add the sliced Jerusalem artichokes to the pan and cook for about 5-7 minutes, until slightly tender.
5. Roll out the pie crust and place it in a greased pie dish, lining the edges if desired.
6. In a bowl, mix the cream, eggs, grated cheese, salt, and pepper.
7. Pour the Jerusalem artichoke mixture into the pie crust and then pour the cream and egg mixture over it.
8. Bake in a 200°C (392°F) oven for about 30-40 minutes, until the top is beautifully golden brown.
9. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Garnish with fresh thyme or parsley if desired.
