A delicious and soft bun infused with cardamom, perfect for your coffee table.
Preparation time: 1 hour + rising time
Serving size: about 12 buns
Ingredients:
- 2 dl milk
- 1 packet dry yeast
- 1 egg
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 dl sugar
- 1-2 tsp cardamom
- 5-6 dl all-purpose flour
- 75 g margarine or 1/2 dl oil
Instructions:
1. Dissolve the dry yeast in lukewarm milk in a large bowl.
2. Add the egg, salt, sugar, and cardamom, and mix well.
3. Gradually add all-purpose flour and knead the dough until it is elastic.
4. Add softened margarine or oil and knead until the dough is smooth.
5. Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 30-40 minutes.
6. Gently knead the dough again and shape it into buns.
7. Place the buns on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let them rise for another 15-20 minutes.
8. Bake at 200°C (392°F) for about 10-15 minutes, until the buns are golden brown.
9. Allow to cool before serving.
