A delicious horse meat kebab served in a soft flatbread, filled with fresh salads, yogurt sauce, and sweet apple jam.
Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 4
Ingredients:
- 400 g horse meat (e.g., ground steak)
- 4 flatbreads (rieska)
- 1 dl yogurt
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 dl mixed salad greens (e.g., iceberg lettuce, cucumber, tomato)
- 100 g apple jam
- Oil for frying
Instructions:
1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
2. Add the horse meat to the pan and season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Cook until the meat is done and has a nice color.
3. In a bowl, prepare the yogurt sauce by mixing yogurt and lemon juice. Adjust seasoning with more salt if necessary.
4. Take the flatbreads and warm them slightly in the pan or microwave.
5. Spread cooked horse meat, mixed salad greens, yogurt sauce, and a spoonful of apple jam on each flatbread.
6. Roll the flatbread tightly around the fillings and serve immediately.
