A lovely and warm beret perfect for autumn and winter. This pattern is ideal for craft enthusiasts looking to experiment with new colors and materials. Preparation Time: 3-4 hours
Serving Size: 1 beret
Ingredients:
- 100 g mohair yarn (or angora yarn)- Knitting needles (size 4 mm)
- Piece of fabric or stitch markers
- Scissors
- Needle for weaving in ends
Instructions:
1. Cast on 80 stitches onto the knitting needles.2. Knit in a 2x2 rib pattern for 5 cm in height.
3. Switch to stockinette stitch (knit all stitches) and continue knitting until your work is about 20 cm long.
4. Start decreasing: knit 10 stitches, then knit 2 together. Repeat this until the end of the round.
5. Knit one round without any decreases.
6. Continue decreasing: knit 9 stitches, then knit 2 together. Repeat this until the end of the round.
7. Continue decreasing, reducing the number of stitches each round until there are about 10 stitches left.
8. Cut the yarn, pull it through the remaining stitches, and tighten it.
9. Weave in the ends carefully and finish the beret.
