Ingredients:
- 400g spaghetti
- 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 100ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet, sautéing until the garlic is golden but not burnt.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet along with the reserved pasta water, tossing to combine.
5. Season with salt to taste and mix in the chopped parsley.
6. Serve hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
