Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp red chili flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti in boiling salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
4. Stir in the red chili flakes and cook for another minute.
5. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to coat it with the garlic oil.
6. If the pasta seems dry, add a little reserved pasta water to loosen it.
7. Season with salt to taste.
8. Remove from heat, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
