Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

A simple yet flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and red pepper flakes. Preparation Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Boil a pot of salted water and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
2. While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced garlic to the skillet and sauté until lightly golden, being careful not to burn it.
4. Stir in the red pepper flakes and cook for an additional minute.
5. Once the pasta is cooked, reserve about 1/2 cup of the pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
6. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the garlic oil. Toss well to coat.
7. If the pasta seems dry, add a little reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.
8. Season with salt to taste and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
