Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

A classic Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and red pepper flakes. Preparation Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:
- Spaghetti (200g) - Olive oil (4 tablespoons)
- Garlic (4 cloves, thinly sliced)
- Red pepper flakes (1 teaspoon)
- Fresh parsley (a handful, chopped)
- Salt (to taste)
- Parmesan cheese (optional, for serving)
Instructions:
1. Boil a pot of salted water and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta. 2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, about 2 minutes.
3. Add the red pepper flakes to the skillet and cook for another 30 seconds.
4. Toss the drained spaghetti into the skillet, mixing well to coat in the garlic oil.
5. If the pasta seems dry, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until you reach the desired consistency.
6. Stir in the chopped parsley and season with salt to taste.
7. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
