Ingredients:
- Cake Base: - 4 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 200 g butter or margarine
- 200 g dark chocolate
- 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- Filling:
- 300 g strawberries (fresh or frozen)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tbsp sugar
- Decoration:
- Skull-themed decorations (e.g., fondant)
- Chocolate shavings
- Strawberries
Instructions:
1. Prepare the cake base. Melt the butter and dark chocolate together in a saucepan over low heat. Let it cool. 2. In a bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
3. Gently fold the cooled chocolate-butter mixture into the egg mixture.
4. Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and vanilla sugar, then fold it into the mixture until smooth.
5. Pour the batter into a greased 24 cm (9-inch) round pan and bake at 175°C (350°F) for about 25-30 minutes. Let it cool.
6. Prepare the filling. Whip the heavy cream and add the sugar. Chop the strawberries and fold them into the whipped cream.
7. Slice the cooled cake in half and fill it with the strawberry-cream mixture. Place the top layer back on.
8. Decorate the cake with skull-themed decorations, chocolate shavings, and strawberries.
9. Allow the cake to set in the refrigerator before serving.
