Refreshing and chocolatey muffins that combine the flavors of peppermint and chocolate. Perfect treat for gifting or a personal moment! Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 6 muffins
Ingredients:
- 100 g all-purpose flour- 50 g sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- 1 egg
- 30 g butter or margarine, melted
- 75 ml milk
- Peppermint extract
- 40 g chocolate, chopped
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, mix the dry ingredients (flour, sugars, cocoa, baking powder, and salt) together.2. In another bowl, beat the egg and mix in the melted butter, milk, and peppermint extract.
3. Quickly combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients, mixing as little as possible. Fold in the chopped chocolate.
4. Spoon the batter into paper liners or a muffin tray.
5. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 15-20 minutes. Allow to cool and decorate as desired.
