Serving Size: 4-6 servings
Ingredients:
- 1 kg venison roast
- 1½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 50 g butter for frying
- 1 head of cabbage (approx. 600 g)
- 3 dl water
Instructions:
1. Cut the venison roast into bite-sized pieces and season with salt and black pepper.
2. Heat the butter in a large pot and brown the venison pieces on all sides.
3. Shred the cabbage and add it to the pot with the venison.
4. Pour the water into the pot and mix the ingredients well.
5. Cover the pot with a lid and simmer on low heat for about 1.5 hours, until the meat is tender and the cabbage is soft.
6. Serve the stew warm, accompanied by potatoes or bread.
