Ingredients:
- 2 rib eye steaks - Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 hamburger buns
- 2 slices of cheddar cheese
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1 tomato, sliced
- Lettuce (such as romaine or iceberg)
- Mayonnaise or sauce of your choice
Instructions:
1. Take rib eye steaks out of the fridge and let them sit at room temperature for about 20 minutes before cooking.2. Season the steaks with salt and black pepper.
3. Preheat the grill or skillet over high heat.
4. Cook the steaks for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.
5. Add the cheese slices on top of the steaks during the last minute of cooking to allow them to melt.
6. Lightly toast the hamburger buns on the grill or skillet.
7. Assemble the burgers: place lettuce on the bottom half of the bun, followed by the steak with melted cheese, sliced avocado, and tomato. Add mayonnaise or your preferred sauce.
8. Place the top half of the bun on and serve immediately.
