Ingredients:

- 300 g pasta (e.g., penne or fusilli)
- 200 g fresh spinach
- 200 ml cream
- 100 g grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in salted water until al dente. Drain and reserve a bit of the pasta water.
2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the crushed garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until soft.
3. Add the fresh spinach to the pan and cook until wilted completely.
4. Pour the cream into the skillet and mix well. Let it simmer on low heat for a few minutes.
5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted. Season with salt and black pepper.
6. Combine the cooked pasta with the sauce, adding reserved pasta water if necessary for desired consistency.
7. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh basil if desired.
