Ingredients:
- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they are browned and tender, about 5-7 minutes.
3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
4. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Allow it to simmer for a few minutes until slightly thickened.
5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and mix until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet and toss until the pasta is well coated in the creamy sauce.
7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
